A young woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant will undoubtedly feel overwhelmed by the inevitable changes in her near future.  The Crib is a place where she can go to find support and encouragement.   The Crib is a caring community committed to empowering young mothers in crisis situations.  We currently offer Case Management services to young, single mothers in St. Mary’s County, Maryland.  Our goal is to provide these women with the resources they need to be successful parents and successful people.  A woman who has the courage to raise her baby alone has the strength to be a role model for both her child and community.  

The Crib is intended to have a multigenerational impact; each woman who successfully completes the program will see its effects on her own life and on the life of her child.  By taking action now, we can create a cycle of hope and success for future generations.
